Rare diseases

What are Rare Diseases?
These are diseases with a low frequency of occurrence in the population, or which are little known or little studied.
They are usually chronic and disabling.
More than 80% of them have a genetic origin.
Examples of rare diseases are Marfan syndrome, ALS, Schönlein-Henoch purpura, Fragile X syndrome, among others.
BI(G)MED uses precision diagnostics to provide appropriate management in these diseases.
